RS 11:3845 - Effective date of retirement system When any actuarially sound pension and retirement system is established by ordinance, in any municipality included in the provisions of this Part, the provisions of the ordinance shall in all respects have the force and effect of law as of the date of the going into effect of the ordinance as provided in the charter of the municipality.
