RS 11:402 - Name of system The system established by R.S. 11:401 shall be a state agency and shall have the power and privileges of a corporation. It shall be known as the 'Louisiana State Employees' Retirement System' or as 'Lasers'. It shall be authorized to transact business and to invest in, hold, and sell cash, securities, property, and other assets in its own name or in such nominee names as the board of trustees may authorize from time to time. All records covering the contributions of the employer and the members shall be maintained by the board of trustees. Acts 1972, No. 135, §1, eff. July 26, 1972.
