RS 13:1032 - Sureties The sureties on the clerk's bond shall be residents of the state of Louisiana. Prior to being accepted as surety, they shall make an oath in writing upon the bond before the judge of the court receiving the bond. The oath shall state that after their debts and liabilities have been paid, they are worth the amount of the bond in unencumbered immovable property liable to seizure within the parish of Orleans or the state of Louisiana.
