RS 13:1374 - Salaries of messengers; payment The salaries of the chief messenger and messengers of the criminal district court shall be as follows: Chief messenger, one hundred and fifty dollars per month; All other messengers, one hundred and twenty-five dollars per month. These salaries shall be paid by the City of New Orleans; should any money be due any employee by the provisions of this Section, no prescriptive period shall begin to run on such claim unless and until the employment of the said employee has been terminated.
