RS 13:1452.1 - Appeals from decisions of traffic hearing officer In any parish court having a traffic hearing officer, an appeal may be taken from any determination by the officer that a person is in violation of any traffic law or ordinance of the state, parish, or municipality within the court's jurisdiction. The appeal shall be taken to the judge of the parish court by filing a motion with the clerk of court for the parish along with payment of a reasonable fee not to exceed twenty-five dollars. The delay for filing an appeal shall be five days from the date of the determination by the traffic hearing officer. On appeal, the case shall be tried de novo. Acts 1988, No. 281, §1.
