RS 13:1597 - Election of judge; clerk of court A. The judge of the juvenile court shall be elected at a special election called by the governor for the first term which shall not extend beyond the terms of the judges of the district court. Thereafter said judge shall be elected at the time fixed by law for the election of district judges throughout the state of Louisiana. B. The clerk of court for the parish of Jefferson shall be ex-officio clerk of the juvenile court. Acts 1958, Ex.Sess., No. 10, §§8, 9.
