RS 13:2154.2 - Clerk of First City Court of the City of New Orleans; vacancy When a vacancy occurs in the office of clerk of the First City Court of the City of New Orleans, the duties of the office, until it is filled by election as provided by law, shall be assumed by the chief deputy clerk. If there is no chief deputy clerk when the vacancy occurs, the governing authority of the parish of Orleans shall appoint a qualified person to assume the duties of the office until filled by election.
