RS 13:2156 - Criers for first city court The judge of each section of the First City Court of the City of New Orleans shall appoint a crier for his section, who shall be commissioned by the constable of the First City Court as a deputy constable. The criers shall perform such duties as may be provided by law and the rules of the court. Each crier may receive as compensation a salary of three hundred dollars per month, payable by the city of New Orleans, within the discretion of the city council, on the warrant of the judge of the section in which the crier serves.
