RS 13:2485.3 - Salary and fees of judge The city judge shall receive an annual salary payable monthly in equal proportions by the town or city of Leesville and the police jury of Vernon parish, Louisiana, upon the following basis: (1) If the population of the territorial jurisdiction of the court is less than 10,000, he shall be paid a minimum salary of $3,600.00. (2) If the population of the territorial jurisdiction of the court is 10,000 or more, but less than 20,000, he shall be paid a minimum salary of $4,800.00. (3) If the population of the territorial jurisdiction of the court is 20,000 or more, but less than 40,000, he shall be paid a minimum salary of $6,000.00. (4) If the population of the territorial jurisdiction of the court is 40,000 or more, but less than 100,000, he shall be paid a minimum salary of $7,200.00. In addition to salary the judge shall receive the same fees as are payable to the justice of the peace in all civil cases where the amount involved does not exceed $100.00, exclusive of interest, and the same fees as are payable to the clerks of district courts in all other civil cases. e of the peace in all civil cases where the amount involved does not exceed $100.00, exclusive of interest, and the same fees as are payable to the clerks of district courts in all other civil cases.
