RS 13:2606 - Territorial jurisdiction; West Carroll Parish The territorial limits of the justice of the peace courts in West Carroll Parish shall be the same as the parish police jury districts within the parish. The persons elected to the offices of justice of the peace and constable for those courts shall be elected from those districts. If the police jury district boundaries are changed thereafter, the territorial jurisdiction of the justice of the peace courts shall also be changed to coincide with the new police jury district boundaries for the purposes of qualification of candidates for the election for the next regular term of office for justices of the peace and constables of those courts and effective for all purposes at the beginning of such term of office.
