RS 13:2613 - Territorial jurisdiction; East Feliciana Parish justice of the peace courts A. Effective January 1, 1997, the territorial limits of the justice of the peace courts in East Feliciana Parish shall be based on and correspond to the district and precinct system adopted by the police jury of East Feliciana Parish in its reapportionment resolution of May 10, 1991, as follows: (1) The first justice of the peace district and court, heretofore consisting of Wards 1 and 2, shall consist of District 1, Precincts 1, 2, and 3, and District 2, Precincts 1A, 1B, 1D, 1E, and 1F. (2) The second justice of the peace district and court, heretofore consisting of Wards 3 and 4, shall consist of District 3, Precincts 1A, 1B, 1C, 2A, 2B, and 2C, and District 4, Precincts 1A, 1B, 1C, 2A, and 2B. (3) The third justice of the peace district and court, heretofore consisting of Wards 5 and 6, shall consist of District 5, Precincts 1A, 1B, 2, and 3, and District 6, Precinct 1. (4) The fourth justice of the peace district and court, heretofore consisting of Wards 7 and 8, shall consist of District 7, Precinct 1, and District 8, Precinct 1. B. 3, and District 6, Precinct 1. (4) The fourth justice of the peace district and court, heretofore consisting of Wards 7 and 8, shall consist of District 7, Precinct 1, and District 8, Precinct 1. B. The persons elected to the offices of justice of the peace and constable for such justice of the peace courts at the 1996 congressional election shall be elected from the districts provided in this Section.
