RS 13:3729 - Same; definition An ancient document is defined to mean any instrument of writing, including maps, plats and surveys, which has been recorded in the conveyance, mortgage, donation, miscellaneous or other official records of any parish of the state or in any office, bureau, department or agency of the state for a period of thirty years or more at the time such instrument is offered in evidence.
