RS 13:3887 - Request for notice of assessment on specific property A. Any mortgagee desiring to be notified in the event specific immovable property is assessed by a local governmental entity shall file a request for notice of assessment in the mortgage records of the parish where the immovable property is located. The request for notice of assessment shall state the legal description of the immovable property, the owner of the property, and the name and address of the person desiring notice of assessment. The mortgagee desiring notice of an assessment shall pay the sum of ten dollars to the clerk of court, or the recorder of mortgages for the parish of Orleans, for deposit in the office general fund, to defray the cost of providing the notice of assessment as hereinafter provided. B. In the event of assessment of immovable property for improvements, the clerk of court or the recorder of mortgages for the parish of Orleans shall notify, within thirty days of the filing of the assessment, those mortgagees requesting notice of the assessment.
