RS 13:4288 - Property not released or lien discharged by return of writ The return of any writ of fieri facias, on the return day thereof, shall in no case operate as a release of the seizure of property made under such writ, or as a discharge of any lien acquired by service of such a writ, unless the property so seized is duly sold, or unless such seizure is released by order of the party in whose favor it was made, or by order of a court of competent jurisdiction.
