RS 13:4290 - Recovery of damages for excessive seizure in ordinary proceeding When, under Article 2296 of the Code of Civil Procedure, the judgment debtor has obtained the release of an excessive seizure directed in bad faith by the seizing creditor, the judgment debtor may recover the damages sustained by him from the seizing creditor by an ordinary proceeding.
