RS 13:4687 - Divorce proceedings; confidential status of pleadings and testimony upon reconciliation A. Whenever the parties to a divorce proceeding shall effect a reconciliation and resume marital life together prior to rendition of judgment on the merits in the district court, and the plaintiff's petition is withdrawn, the court, upon joint motion of plaintiff and defendant, may order that all pleadings and testimony be separated from other court records and maintained in a confidential status, inaccessible to any person except upon order of court upon joint motion of both litigants. B. The court may punish for contempt anyone violating the provisions of this Section. Acts 1990, No. 361, §2, eff. Jan. 1, 1991.
