RS 13:4875 - Costs and expenses Both the plaintiff and the defendant in an action for discovery and investigation shall be dispensed from paying the costs of court, except that for taking and transcribing testimony in courts whose official stenographers do not receive salaries and before officers taking testimony under commission the plaintiff shall pay the fees fixed by law for such stenographic service in other actions. In any other action against any defendant in the action, for a cause with respect to which the action for discovery and investigation is had, the plaintiff, in addition to its main demand, may claim such amounts as it may have paid for taking and transcribing the testimony in the action.
