RS 13:5545 - Purchase and maintenance of dogs The dogs shall be purchased and furnished by the sheriffs at the expense of the parish at a price not to exceed five hundred dollars per dog; each sheriff shall be allowed by the parish twenty dollars per month per dog for the maintenance and training of the dogs.
