RS 13:5932 - Board of commissioners; membership A. The commission shall be governed by a board of five members. The district judges, the district attorney, and the clerk of court shall each appoint one member. B. The chambers of commerce for the cities of Opelousas and Eunice shall each appoint one member. If these bodies refuse or fail to make a timely appointment, the district judges, having one combined vote, the district attorney, and the clerk of court may by a majority vote designate another non-profit organization to fill the positions as herein provided. C. The board members shall be appointed for a term of six years to coincide with the terms of office for the district judges and the district attorney. Acts 1995, No. 511, §1, eff.
