RS 13:843.2 - Civil court costs; jury costs; bond; immovable property as security A personal surety may furnish as security for a bond for civil court costs, including jury costs, immovable property located in the parish in which the proceeding was brought, provided the surety presents to the clerk of court an assessment certificate, a homestead exemption waiver, if applicable, and a mortgage executed in favor of the clerk of court.
