RS 13:901 - Requirements for indexing names The recorder of mortgages and of conveyances shall index any act required to be recorded in the names of the natural persons as recited in the act, including the full name, including middle name or middle initial, and family name of such natural person. In addition, if a woman is a party to an act, it shall be indexed in her family name and all other names recited in the act. Acts 1987, No. 679, §1; Acts 2005, No. 169, §5, eff.
