RS 14:209 - Seals, breaking prohibited; penalty A. No person shall, without legal authority, break any seal placed, in accordance with law, on the effects or any place or thing containing the effects or property of any deceased person. B. Whoever violates this Section shall be fined not more than one thousand dollars and imprisoned with or without hard labor for not more than two years. Acts 2014, No. 791, §7.
