RS 14:330 - Motion picture ratings; definitions; prohibition on advertising coming attraction with more restrictive rating A. An owner or operator of any motion picture theatre, including a drive-in theatre, shall spell out on the face of all motion picture advertisements the rating of the advertised attraction, each in conspicuous and legible type in contrast by typography, layout, or color with other printed matter appearing on the advertisement. B. No owner or operator of any motion picture theatre, including a drive-in theatre, shall advertise, or permit to be advertised by film a coming attraction which has a more restrictive rating than the motion picture currently engaged at the aforementioned establishments. For the purposes of this section a restrictive rating is one which excludes certain people from the viewing audience on the basis of age and the subject matter of the motion picture. C. Any person who violates the provisions of this section shall be fined not less than one hundred dollars nor more than five hundred dollars or be imprisoned for not more than six months, or both.
