RS 14:356.1 - Unlawful referrals by wrecker drivers and others; penalty A. It shall be unlawful for any wrecker driver, owner, or any other person engaged in providing wrecker services to refer to an attorney at law any person involved in an accident in connection with which he has provided wrecker services, when the wrecker driver, owner, or other person receives any compensation for such referral. B. Whoever violates the provisions of this Section shall be fined not more than five thousand dollars or imprisoned for not more than five years, with or without hard labor, or both.
