RS 14:38 - Simple assault A. Simple assault is an assault committed without a dangerous weapon. B. Whoever commits a simple assault shall be fined not more than two hundred dollars, or imprisoned for not more than ninety days, or both. Acts 1978, No. 394, §1; Acts 2014, No. 791, §7.
