RS 14:68.3 - Unauthorized removal of a motor vehicle; penalties A. No one, except upon a court order, shall remove a motor vehicle from a garage, repair shop, or vehicle storage facility when there is a charge due such garage, repair shop, or vehicle storage facility for repair work, mechanical service, or storage rendered to such vehicle without paying the charge or making arrangements acceptable to the management of the garage, repair shop, or vehicle storage facility to pay the charge. B. Whoever violates this Section shall be imprisoned for not more than six months or fined not more than five hundred dollars, or both. Acts 1991, No. 568, §1.
