RS 15:1220 - Authorization Parish governing bodies and the city of New Orleans are hereby authorized to create criminal justice information system policy boards established from representatives of all agencies who require service from the criminal justice information system, as well as such technical representatives as said local governing authorities may choose to appoint. Technical representation on the policy board shall be of an advisory nature and shall exist for the purpose of providing information to the policy board. Said technical representatives, however, shall not be voting or full members of the user group. Said policy boards shall be considered as a board of directors responsible for: (1) The creation of a plan for the development of all information and statistical systems at the local level; (2) Establishment of an operating policy for the criminal justice information system; (3) Continued oversight over the development and operation of the criminal justice information system; (4) And all other aspects of the planning, management, and operation of the system.
