RS 17:1170 - Definitions As used in this Subpart, the words 'teacher' or 'teaching staff' shall include any person employed by a city, parish, or other local public school board in the state of Louisiana who holds a valid teaching certificate issued by the state Department of Education and any social worker, school counselor, school nurse, audiologist, educational diagnostician, speech-language pathologist, or school psychologist employed by a city, parish, or other local public school board in the state who holds the appropriate valid professional ancillary certificate issued by the state Department of Education.
