RS 17:1216 - Substitute teachers to fill vacancies; appointment The position vacated by a teacher who has been granted a military leave, or by a teacher transferred to the position vacated by a teacher granted a military leave, in accordance with R.S. 17:1215, may be filled by the respective school boards by the appointment of substitute teachers.
