RS 17:1985 - Instructional materials Beginning with the 1993-1994 textbook adoption cycle, the State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education shall require a publisher to furnish to the state Department of Education, its designated depository, or the American Printing House for the Blind, not later than ninety days after final adoption of a textbook, computer diskettes for literary subjects in a standard format approved by the State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education from which braille versions of the textbook can be produced. The publisher shall furnish the department with computer diskettes in a standard format for nonliterary subjects, including natural sciences, computer science, mathematics, and music, when braille specialty code translation software is available.
