RS 17:2016 - Worksite-based training A. The state Department of Education may plan, develop, and provide a coordinated, comprehensive program of worksite-based training to encourage and promote the acquisition of skills for earning a living coordinated with basic academic skills consistent with student potential that will enable students to become self-sufficient, to function effectively in society, and to live meaningful, enjoyable lives. B. The department may, in cooperation with other educational institutions, the community, and the State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education, implement a worksite-based training program by planning, executing, and administering such program and by developing any guidelines as the department shall deem necessary for implementation of the program. C. The provisions of this Section shall apply only when and to the degree that funding is available. Acts 1994, 3rd Ex. Sess., No. 71, §1.
