RS 17:2085 - New Covenant College A. New Covenant College, with the specific approval by the Louisiana Board of Regents is hereby recognized to be a corporation organized under the laws of this state and domiciled in the city of New Orleans and is hereby authorized and empowered to confer upon its students, or upon any persons deemed by it worthy of such distinction, degrees in the arts and sciences and all of the learned professions, such as are granted by other colleges and universities in the United States, and to give diplomas or certificates thereof; provided that the curricula or courses of study in the learned professions shall equal those maintained by other standard colleges and universities and provided that said college meet all the standards for new colleges and universities as required by the Board of Regents. B. The degrees and diplomas or certificates shall be recognized by the courts and officials of this state as entitling the graduates and persons receiving the degrees and holding the diplomas or certificates to the same rights, immunities, and privileges in the state of Louisiana as the graduates of any other college, university, or institution of learning.
