RS 17:3398.1 - Partnerships with business and industry; applied research A. Consistent with institutional mission, state institutions of higher education shall pursue the development of opportunities to establish partnerships with businesses and industries to develop or refine products, methods for construction, production, and the conduct of business, and procedures for training and evaluating employees. B. The development of opportunities as provided in Subsection A of this Section shall specifically include enhanced capacities to do applied research, product development, and incubation of new ideas and businesses.
