RS 17:3621.3 - Hearing officer; debt collection; state district court Prior to the expiration of the state committee, the state superintendent, with the approval of the State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education, shall appoint a nonpartisan hearing officer to hear and determine cases involving debt collections. All appeals from the hearing officer regarding debt collections shall be taken directly to the Nineteenth Judicial District Court for East Baton Rouge Parish. Acts 1990, No. 4, §1, eff. May 23, 1990.
