RS 17:397 - Student eligibility A student eligible for remedial education shall be defined as a student in the elementary and secondary schools of this state who does not meet the performance standards as established by the department and approved by the state board. Each city and parish school board shall maintain a systematic process for identifying children who are eligible for remedial education. Added by Acts 1980, No. 433, §1, eff.
