RS 17:71.6 - Purpose and intent of Subpart The purpose and intent of this Subpart is to authorize all school boards to reapportion themselves so that each member thereof, except for any school board member which may be elected at large as authorized by R.S. 17:71.3(B), represents as nearly the same number of constituents as is possible. It is also the purpose and intent of this Subpart to permit such school boards as much latitude and discretion as possible in accomplishing such reapportionment within the limits set forth in this Subpart.
