RS 18:47 - Staff; assistance to board A. The board may employ an executive director. The executive director shall serve as secretary to the board. The board may employ such other staff as it deems necessary or appropriate. It may employ staff on a full-time or part-time basis and may procure temporary or intermittent services as it deems necessary. The board may employ attorneys and it may procure the services of attorneys on a temporary or part-time basis as it deems necessary. B. Every officer, department, board, or commission of the state or of any of its political subdivisions shall provide assistance, including use of facilities and investigatory personnel, upon the request of the board.
