RS 18:483 - Effect of tie vote in a primary election If, as a result of a tie vote in a primary election, the number of candidates who would qualify for the general election is more than twice the number of persons remaining to be elected to the office, all of the candidates who received the same number of votes in the primary election qualify for the general election.
