RS 19:132.8 - Nonuse; penalties If the actual construction has not commenced on the project for which the property was taken pursuant to this Part within twenty-four months from the date of the expropriation of the property, the city of Alexandria or the city of New Orleans, as the case may be, shall be liable to any person from whom the property was taken for an amount equal to the compensation paid or due to him for the taking.
