RS 22:1522 - Scope This Part shall apply to all persons in the business of leasing rental motor vehicles from locations in this state under an agreement which imposes upon the lessee an obligation to pay for any damages caused to the leased vehicle. The provisions of this Part apply solely to the collision damage waiver portion of the rental agreement which shall not be considered insurance. Acts 1989, No. 773, §2, eff.
