RS 22:2019 - Exemption from filing fees The commissioner of insurance shall not be required to pay any fee to any public officer for filing, recording, or in any manner authenticating any paper or instrument relating to any proceeding pursuant to this Chapter, nor for services rendered by any public officer for serving any process; however, such fees and costs may be taxed as costs against the defendant in the suit by order of the court and paid to such public officer.
