RS 22:336 - Issuance of certificate of authority When a foreign or alien insurer has complied with all of the requirements imposed upon it by this Code, the commissioner of insurance shall issue such insurer a certificate of authority to transact in this state the kind or kinds of business specified therein. Such certificate shall expire on the thirty-first day of March next succeeding its issue, and shall be renewable annually thereafter if such insurer continues to meet all of the requirements imposed upon it by this Code or any amendments thereto.
