RS 22:371 - Cease and desist order; penalty for violation A. If the commissioner should determine that the provisions of this Subpart have been violated, the commissioner shall, in addition to the authority to revoke or suspend a license as provided in R.S. 22: 369, have the authority to issue an order requiring such person or insurer violating the provisions of this Subpart, to cease and desist from such method, act, or practice. An aggrieved party affected by the commissioner's decision, act, or order may demand a hearing in accordance with Chapter 12 of this Title, R.S. 22:2191 et seq. B. If no hearing is demanded by the aggrieved party or after a final order from the division of administrative law is issued withholding the commissioner's order, such person or insurer continues to violate the provisions of this Subpart, the commissioner may seek the enforcement of such order by civil legal action filed in the Nineteenth Judicial District Court. Any person who violates a cease and desist order after it has become final and while such order is in effect, shall, upon proof thereof to the satisfaction of the court, forfeit and pay to the state of Louisiana a sum not to exceed five
