RS 22:66 - Initial examination: issuance of certificate of authority Upon receipt of the application for a certificate of authority, the commissioner of insurance shall cause an initial examination to be made of the corporation. If, in the opinion of the commissioner of insurance, the examination shows the corporation to be duly organized and to have complied with all requirements of law, he shall notify the applicant and issue a certificate of authority to the corporation.
