RS 23:1017.2 - Leave status An employee who leaves employment in order to perform the duties of a first responder pursuant to this Part shall be treated as being on temporary leave of absence subject to the terms and conditions of the employer's stated policy regarding leaves of absence and provided that he applies for reinstatement in accordance with R.S. 23:1017.3.
