RS 23:901 - Persons or firms not directly involved in strike or lockout; hiring or recruiting of replacement workers prohibited; exceptions A. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation, not directly involved in a labor strike or lockout, to hire or recruit for employment any person, or to secure or offer to secure for any person any employment, when the purpose or effect of such hiring, recruiting, securing or offering to secure employment, is to have such person or another person take the place in employment of the striking employee in a business or industry where a labor strike or a lockout exists. B. This Section does not apply to services or work performed by a person, firm, or corporation in his or its usual trade, occupation or business, provided that such trade, occupation or business is not usually the furnishing of strikebreakers in any labor strike or lockout and provided further that the said person, firm or corporation hiring, recruiting, securing or offering to secure employment is, if a person or an unincorporated firm, a bona fide resident of the state of Louisiana for a period of one year prior to the strike or lockout, or if a corporation, chartered

to secure employment is, if a person or an unincorporated firm, a bona fide resident of the state of Louisiana for a period of one year prior to the strike or lockout, or if a corporation, chartered or duly licensed to do business in the state of Louisiana for a period of one year prior to the strike or lockout.
