RS 25:14 - State library as recipient of federal and state funds A. The State Library of Louisiana is named and designated as the proper state agency to accept, receive, and administer any funds or monies granted, furnished, provided, appropriated, and dedicated or made available by the United States or any of its departments, commissions, boards, bureaus, or agencies or by the state of Louisiana for the purpose of giving aid to libraries and providing educational library service for citizens in the state of Louisiana. B. Any and all funds or monies made available by the state of Louisiana for the purposes stated herein shall be received and administered by the assistant secretary of the office of the state library who is hereby vested with authority to establish rules, regulations, and restrictions not inconsistent with law for the distribution of said funds or monies to the public libraries of the state and from time to time alter and amend the same.
