RS 25:214.2 - Rapides Parish Library Board of Control; membership; representation A. Notwithstanding any other provision of this Chapter to the contrary, the Rapides Parish Police Jury is authorized to appoint two additional members to the Rapides Parish Library Board of Control. B. The commissioners appointed pursuant to this Section shall cause the representation on the board to reflect the representation of the nine police jury districts and shall be appointed to serve for terms of one, two, three, and four years, respectively, but thereafter, each commissioner shall be appointed for a term of five years, except that vacancies occurring otherwise than by the expiration of their term shall be filled for the unexpired term in the same manner as the original appointment.
