RS 25:752 - Authorization for historic district and landmarks commissions The governing body of the city of New Orleans and the parishes of Franklin, Tensas, LaSalle, Catahoula, Concordia, and Caldwell, which city and parishes shall be designated as 'governmental unit' hereinafter in this Part, may establish within the borders of the city or parish a historic preservation district commission or a landmarks commission or a combination of the two to promote the educational, cultural, economic, and general welfare of the public.
