RS 29:283 - Lists of those killed or dying in service The adjutant general shall make and preserve a permanent registry of the names of all citizens of the state who were killed or who died in the service of the various military commands organized in this state, engaged in the War of 1812, the Mexican War, and the Civil War, whether in the service of the state, the United States of America, or the Confederate States of America. In addition, he shall preserve any incidental data that can be obtained.
